I'm 80 years old and a lifelong entrepreneur with many business successes and failures, I've learned much from both. Your "Why Entrepreneurs Need to Ditch Their Egos & Scrap Their Experience" article should show my picture. "Your business-building habits, expertise, and go to tools are quickly making you slow, dumb, and eventually broke" is my current story.

In spite of being slow, dumb and broke, I've never been happier. I still feel very alive with passion and enthusiasm. I've converted this zeal to succeed, into forgetting about money and directing all my efforts to my nonprofit organizations. A dramatic change of scenery has contributed to my happiness. By living in a remote rural village in the country of Laos, you'll quickly learn that money is not that important. Most villagers are happy with their culture and way of life, and my small contribution is to help them by extending school from fifth grade to eleventh grade. The 10 year old's who have finished their schooling are actively recruited by child slave labor contractors.

I'm also "busy as hell" with my new nonprofit of producing free entrepreneurial training videos on YouTube, starting next month. An all new concept in teaching the necessary skills to budding entrepreneurs. Our spokesperson is a young 9 year old boy prodigy, who knows more about computers than I'll ever know. By using analogies and allegorical references that are easily understood by all, our videos will be fun and entertaining.

I'm new to Medium and just learning how to navigate it's complexities. The informative stories available here are second to none, and I believe will serve to enhance my training abilities.

Thank You Rachel,

Dirt poor or filthy rich makes little difference. Kindness, Compassion and Empathy to others is what matters. https://the-idea-man.org
